Coastweeks Newport Trash Skimmer Tour

Join us to learn more about how the City of Newport is trying to clean up marine debris with the Newport Harbor Trash Skimmers, made possible by funding from 11th Hour Racing. The Newport Harbor Trash Skimmers, the first on the East Coast, have collected over 6,000 pounds of miscellaneous plastic, foam, cigarettes/filters, food containers and beverage bottles, as well as, oil and toxins since they were installed in 2016.The tour will showcase how the trash skimmers work, what kind…

Water Brothers Pro 2017

Water Brothers will be hosting the annual Water Brothers Pro surf contest, in memory of Ryan Roberts, at Second Beach. The dates are variable depending on conditions of the waves.
